Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026. This policy covers the Who's Listening app (version 1.0) and this website.
The short version
Who's Listening reads your App Privacy Report on your own phone. We do not collect it, we cannot see it, and we do not run any servers that receive it.
Who we are
Ariel Cristian Tone, support@whoslistening.app. We are the developer of Who's Listening.
What the app does with your information
- Your App Privacy Report. When you choose a report file, the app reads it and builds your daily report on your phone. The file is not uploaded anywhere.
- Saved history. To show more than Apple's seven days, the app saves the microphone and camera activity from your imports in its private storage on your phone. We never receive it. You can delete it at any time with "Delete all my data" in Help, or by deleting the app.
- App names and categories. To show real app names and categories, your phone sends the identifiers of the apps in your report (for example
com.example.app) to Apple's public App Store lookup service. That request goes from your phone to Apple, which receives your phone's internet address under Apple's privacy policy. We do not receive these requests. - Purchases. Apple handles the payment when you buy the app. We receive no payment details.
- Reminders. The optional weekly reminder is a notification scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent to us.
- Exports and shares. A PDF, spreadsheet or "Share my week" picture is created on your phone and goes only where you choose to send it.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no analytics. If you email support@whoslistening.app to be told when the app launches, we use your address only to send that one message and then delete it.
What we do not do
- We do not collect, sell or share your personal data.
- We do not use advertising or tracking software in the app.
- We do not require an account.
What the app cannot do
Who's Listening shows what your iPhone already recorded. It cannot block apps, stop recording or show activity live. Items marked "worth a look" are prompts to check, not proof that anything is wrong.
Your rights
Because we do not hold your personal data in the app, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or erase. Your data is on your phone and you control it. If you have a question or concern, write to support@whoslistening.app. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before the change applies.
